I am a huge advocate of breaking the rules prescribed to us as humans by the gender binary. In general, I steadily believe that as long as what you’re doing doesn’t hurt others, there’s no reason that anyone should tell you you can’t or shouldn’t.

That said, I don’t think that enjoying acts that are stereotypically expected from one’s gender should be looked down upon. I’m tired of people hinting that I’m weak, disingenuous, or negatively girlish when I talk about enjoying things that are “so typical” of a woman. 

Just because I like these things, it does not in any way mean that I’m not feminist-minded, humanistic, and open. I’m not repressed because of how I view my own femininity, but by suggesting I am you are in turn being oppressive.
